The letter below is a creative paraphrase of themes and promises found throughout the Bible. Scripture references are included so you can explore them for yourself. If the word “father” carries pain, disappointment, or complicated memories for you, we understand. This letter describes God as Christians believe a loving father was always meant to be—present, trustworthy, compassionate, and safe.
A Father’s Love Letter
My Child,
I know you completely. I know when you rise and when you rest. I know your thoughts, your ways, your joys, and your struggles. There has never been a moment when you were hidden from Me.
Before you were born, I knew you. You were not a mistake. I formed you with intention, made you in My image, and lovingly knit you together in your mother’s womb. Your life has purpose, and you are precious to Me.
You may have heard things about Me that made Me seem distant, disappointed, or angry. But I want you to know who I truly am. I am love, and I am a good Father. My desire has always been to draw you close and show you the depth of My love.
I am your provider, your comforter, and your greatest encourager. Every good gift comes from My hand. When your heart is broken, I am near. When you are weary, I will carry you. When you are afraid, I will remain with you.
I think about you more often than you can imagine, and I rejoice over you. My plans for you are filled with hope. Seek Me, and you will find Me. Draw near to Me, and I will reveal more of My heart to you.
Most of all, I want you to know My love through My Son, Jesus. He came to show you what I am like and to make a way for you to come home to Me. Through Him, I offer you forgiveness, reconciliation, and a relationship that nothing can separate.
You do not have to earn My love. I am inviting you to receive it. I have always desired to be your Father.
Will you receive Me and become My child?
I am waiting with open arms.
Love,
Your Father
Almighty God
Love you do not have to earn
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9-10 NKJV
Christianity begins with grace—not achieving perfection or proving that you are worthy. Jesus offers forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and a new way of life as a gift.
